This is campus life
Our campus is set within 200 hectares of parkland, giving you all the green space you could need for sports, barbeques, lake walks or relaxing with a good book. The campus also has a great community feel! Whether you want to relax in the square, need something from the street, want to exercise or immerse yourself in art, here is what campus has for you!
The Square lies at the heart of our campus, providing an open and sociable space where you can relax after class. Next to the Square you’ll find the Street, home to essential outlets such as a laundrette, a bookshop, ATMs, a Barclays bank and The Shop – a grocery store and Post Office that stocks a wide range of food, drink and toiletries.
UEA’s SportsPark is one of the biggest indoor university sports centres in Britain and covers many sporting interests. You can swim in the Olympic-sized pool, play badminton and go rock climbing. Then there’s the fully equipped gymnastics centre, martial arts and dance studio, and the state-of-the art gym. Not to mention the outdoor facilities, which include an eight lane Athletics track, floodlit hockey and football pitches and tennis and squash courts.
Designed by Norman Foster, the The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is home to the renowned Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Collection and houses art from around the world. Best of all, it’s free to visit for students.
