The overthrow of 300 years of Romanov rule in February 1917 followed by the Bolshevik insurrection of October the same year continues to be one of the most heavily contested and divisive epochs of the modern era. This event will look to mark its centenary by encouraging students to examine why and how it came about and to look at the ways in which the radical shift in art and culture has been commemorated, including a guided tour of the Sainsbury Centre's Russia Season exhibitions with their Curator Professor Peter Waldron
This event also gives students in years 12 and 13 the chance to speak to current students and find out more about studying history at UEA.
