Supporting year 9 students explore their options in computing Supporting year 9 students explore their options in computing

Have you ever wondered where your interest in computers could take you?

In partnership with Norwich University of the Arts, Level Up is focused on the range of study and career opportunities available within computing and gaming. Over the course of two campus visits and an in-school project, students will take part in academic taster sessions, meet current university students and work in teams to create a new technology that will be judged by a panel of experts.

Programme Outline

5th July: Visit to UEA

Students work on a group project in school in-between visits- Student ambassadors can support if required

16th July: Visit to NUA

Places: Schools can book up to two teams of between 5-8 students each

Who is eligible to attend?

The programme is open to year 9 boys. Males are traditionally underrepresented within Higher Education, especially within creative subjects. Working with Local Higher Education Providers and employers we hope to buck the trend through HeCanWeCan events such as this.
