UEA studentships

The Social Science Graduate School is pleased to announce that it will be awarding up to 25 University funded PhD studentships available to students from within or outside the EU.

The Studentships cover tuition fees (UK/EU rates), a tax-free maintenance grant (currently £13,590 per year), and a research training support grant. International students are welcome to apply but must be able to pay the difference between UK/EU fees and international fees.
NERC studentship
In addition the School of International Development will also be awarding one Natural Environmental Research Council (NERC) studentship starting in October 2013. The NERC studentship is available to UK and EU residents: for UK residents awards consist of fees and maintenance; for EU residents awards are on a fees-only basis.

Applicants for all studentships are invited from suitably qualified graduates. Candidates should hold, or expect to hold, a minimum of at least a 2.1 degree and a Research Masters degree (or equivalent). Candidates may be asked to participate in an interview, which could take place via telephone or Skype as part of the selection process. EU and International applicants may be required to provide evidence of competence in the English Language.
