media@uea consists of academics and professionals from Law, Political Sciences, Development Studies, Economics and Film and Television Studies. We offer inter-disciplinary teaching, training and research supervision at postgraduate level through our innovative postgraduate programmes. We also undertake research that seeks to critically address the key issues in the media world today.
Because media@uea draws on expertise from so many disciplines, our audience is both specialist and generalist and our research and teaching encompasses the local and the global, and is truly multi-disciplinary. We are committed to interdisciplinary work and discussion and this commitment is reflected in our co-taught Media and Society module and in the research we undertake. We teach a considerable range of media-related modules across different schools with two of our newest being Practical Media and Media and Development in Practice.
media@uea also works closely with various organizations, particularly the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) and the Centre for Competition Policy (CCP).
