Joining Instruction

Travel Information:
Flight -  Norwich has an international airport just 10-15 minutes drive from the university.  When you arrive at the Norwich airport, you can find the taxi lot outside of the airport building. Taxi from the airport will cost you about £10.  If you arrive at Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted, there is a coach (bus) coming directly to the university.  Please check the web page of National Express for the price and the timetable* (http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx).

Train - If you take a train from London, Liverpool Street Station is the place you can catch a train coming to Norwich.  From there a less than 2 hours train journey will bring you to Norwich.  They have the train every 30 minutes during daytime and you may be able to purchase a cheaper ticket if you buy one in advance (You can purchase your ticket on-line).  Please see the web page of the National Express East Anglia(http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/) to find more details and the price for the ticket.  The train timetable can be downloaded from here*.  From Norwich station, you can catch a taxi or a bus to come to the university. The taxi lot is located right outside of the station and it will cost approximately £12 to reach the university.  The bus stop can be found at the right side when you come out from the station.  Please catch a bus number 25 or 35.  The bus fare will be £2.20 for a single ride to the university and it takes about 30 minutes.

After arriving on the campus and the accommodation:
Conference venue Please see the campus map.   The venue for the conference is in the "Elizabeth Fry Building", which is in the red circle on the left of the map.  The conference registration starts at 3pm on 1st September in the entrance hall of the building.  All the conference programmes except for dinners will be held in this building.  The final programme will be with you very soon.

Accommodation - If you have requested the campus accommodation (if you paid for the residential registration fee of £275), the accommodation you will stay at is the Broadview Lodge, which is in the green circle on the map.  If you arrive by taxi, LCR (the yellow circle on the map) is the closest point to the Broadview Lodge that a car can drive to.  The Broadviewlodge has a reception on the ground floor, where you can check in and collect the key for your room.  The reception is open until 21:00 and all the keys will be kept in the Security Lodge (the brown circle on the map) after 21:00.  So if you arrive after 21:00 to check in, please stop at the Security Lodge to collect your key.  For more information about the Broadview Lodge, please see their website at http://www.broadviewlodge.co.uk/.  Their address & telephone number are as below:
