East Anglia Sculpture Trail online
Three years ago University of East Anglia art historian Richard Cocke launched a project to map all the sculptures and monuments on view but often unnoticed across our two counties. A Heritage Lottery fund grant enabled a joint initiative from UEA's School of World Art Studies and Museology and the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association. Volunteers and David Hulks then amassed a database of 679 entries and lodged 3,000 photographs with the Norfolk Record Office. For more details on this exciting public engagement project visit the website.

Norfolk Youth Fund
Norfolk County Council has secured funding to 2011 to spend on activities and facilities for young people in Norfolk between the ages of 13-19 years. Young people come up with the ideas about what to spend the money on and a panel of young people decide on the bids. Supporting adults such as youth workers, teachers, social workers or friends are allowed to assist in developing applications. For further information please follow the link below -

SUSTAINABLE LIVING - useful websites
Global Warming - breathingearth
This interesting website is a real time simulation which displays the CO2 emissions of every country in the World as well as birth and death rates. Whilst data on CO2 emissions can never been entirely 100% accurate, note that the emissions listed here are likely to be too low rather than too high. On this wesite too you will find too why the meat industry produces more greenhouse gases than all the SUV's, cars, trucks, planes and ships in the world combined’

Best Foot Forward
This website has information on Global Footprints, a card game consisting of eight playing cards and one instruction card. Each playing card represents an area of consumption, energy, food, paper, travel and so on. The game enables people to estimate their ecological footprint and explore the impact on the environment. The game also progresses to looking at barriers to change - what would it take for a game player to go from a high to a low footprint in each of the eight consumer categories?

Carbon Detectives
This is a website primarily aimed at schools to encourage them to register and take up the carbon detective challenge. The website encourages schools to do some detective work initially to establish the schools CO2 results and size of their current carbon footprint. The schools are then guided by the website to set targets and take action. Thanks to Sue Falch-Lovesey County Hall Outdoor Education for sharing this information with us.
