Biography

Penny Black is a lecturer in social work at the UEA. She is a qualified social worker and has an M.A in Advanced Social Work Practice and Planning from UEA. After a short experience in a residential setting Penny worked for Suffolk County Council as a generic and child care social worker. This was followed by 12 years as part of a CAMHS Service and then a period as a senior practitioner in an adolescent outreach team. Penny spent 10 years as a Workforce Development Consultant, delivering training in both adult and child care services. Penny joined the UEA in 2006. Penny joined UEA in 2006 and she is co-ordinator CPD Child and Family Modules and is Disability Officer for the school.
