If you are a non-visa national coming to the UK for more than six months you must obtain entry clearance from your country before travelling. If you are coming to study for six months or less, you can travel without entry clearance and ask to be admitted as a Student Visitor on arrival in the UK. We do not recommend students to use this option, as your immigration status will not allow you to work, volunteer or extend your stay beyond six months from within the UK.
