Language Buddy

The International Students Advisory Team is setting up a new volunteering project to help international students make the most of their time at UEA.
Language Buddies talking
The project will link international students with a current UEA student whose first language is English, to meet for an hour a week during term time, and speak English together. This will offer international students an informal way to improve their conversational English and help build confidence.

As a Language Buddy you will be asked to commit to meeting for an hour every week during term time, to listen, talk and make general conversation with your international language partner.

It is hoped that this project will not only provide you with a valuable addition to Langauge Buddyyour CV, but will help to foster cross cultural understanding across the campus.

Please complete the appropriate form and return it to isat@uea.ac.uk or drop it into the Dean of Students’ Office, Reception.
