Please Note the Conversation Club has ended for this academic year.  We will start again in October.

The Conversation Club is a place where you can practise your English in an informal setting with other students.

The club is open to all UEA international students and will take place every Tuesday evening during term time in Cafe Direct starting at 6.00pm.

To book a place for in the club email one of the Conversation Club Co-ordinators and let them know you are interested in joining the club.

The Conversation Club Co-ordinators 

We are looking for 2 organised and motivated students to volunteer as the Conversation Club Co-ordinators for the 2012-13 academic year.  If you are interested please contact us at isat@uea.ac.uk or come into the Dean of Students' Office and ask to speak with Jane Amos about the opportunity.

Last year's co-ordinators were:
Michaela is a final year French & Spanish student at UEA.  She has experience of being an international student, as she spent a year studying in France & Spain.  Michaela is keen to bring her knowledge of teaching English to the Conversation Club and hopes that this will be the start of a possible career in teaching English as a foreign language.

Victoria is a final year American Studies Student at UEA.  She has also experienced of being an international student overseas, as she spent a year studying in the USA.  Victoria is looking forward to coordinating the Conversation Club and particularly wants to focus on conversation skills and confidence.  She also hopes to give an insight into British culture and everyday life.
