Health Matters

UEA Medical Services

The University Medical Services provides healthcare for UEA students, staff and the local community.  Students and staff can register with a GP and revceive a varity of services. 
The telephone number is 01603 251600. (NB. This is not a UEA telephone number and needs to be dialled in full) When the Medical Service is closed calls will automatically be transferred to the NHS out of hours emergency service. 

If you want advice regarding your physical or mental health you can all NHS Direct on 08454647.

If you are feeling distressed, suicidal or need confidential emotional support contact the Samaritans on 08457 909090, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you think you need an emergency ambulance you should dial 999.
 

UEA Dental Practice

The University also has a dental practice located in the Medical Centre.  You can find out more regarding this service, including how to make an appointment and costs for treatment on our Dental Practice page.
 

Infectious Illness

If you have been advised to quarantine yourself because you have an infectious illness you will find our guidance leaflet here.
