Feedback

Student Services considers client feedback essential to improving the quality of its provision.  Feedback on services provided by the Careers Service, Counselling Service and the Dean of Students' Office can be made in a number of ways, including:

  • speaking directly to a member of staff
  • completing a feedback form (available from the Careers Centre, Counselling Service or DOS reception)
  • writing to the Dean of Students
  • sending an email to dos@uea.ac.uk
  • follow this link to complete the online feedback form

Feedback provided by clients helps to improve services in large and small ways; just a few examples are:

You said this... We did this...
The internal mail is slow - I'd prefer to know the outcome of my Access to Learning Fund application by email. Now tell students the outcome of their applications by email.
The deadline for applying to be a Senior Resident is too late to find a house if my application is unsuccessful. Introduced an 'early bird' application deadline for those needing to know the outcome before the Union's housing event.
The waiting time for an appointment with an educational psychologist is too long. Hired a new team of psychologists and increased the number of appointments.
It would be helpful if the Learning Enhancement Tutor for maths and science was available for more hours. Extended the number of hours the Learning Enhancement Tutor for maths and Science is available each week.
The Counselling Annex in Suffolk Walk is is hard to find, which means I'm late for my appointment. A yellow line was painted on the walk-way from Counselling reception to the Annex which has proved very successful.
The waiting time for Counselling Service appointments is too long. We introduced a system where clients are offered an initial appointment very quickly and then offered a fixed number of sessions with more being available if required.
I am a student who stays on campus over the vacation, but the Counselling Service is not available. An experienced counsellor is now always available during vacations.
