One of the most important concerns students with children have is childcare. What kinds of care are available? Where can I find childcare close to the university and where I live? What should I ask when looking at childcare providers?
It is important to know what types of childcare and available and what they are called before you start to search to find the types that best meet you and your child's needs.
Once you have know the type of childcare that meets you and your child's need and have found childcare providers in your local area, it is then important to choose the best one. We have provided a list of questions to ask and think about when visiting to be used as a guide.
The UEA Nursery offers high quality day care for babies from 6 weeks and children until starting school. If you would have difficulty meeting the fees, you can apply for help from the Nursery Hardship Fund. The waiting list for the UEA can be long and you may have to look for alternative childcare options.
