Environmental Sciences graduates have excellent career prospects. The majority find graduate employment, for example in government and university research, environmental management and conservation, local and central government, environmental consultancy, geophysical services/oil industry or the water industry, while many others go on to a higher degree. This reflects the unusually diverse yet detailed range of courses available on degree programmes within the school.
Recent statistics show more ENV graduates go into ‘environmentally’ related work, research or further study, compared to the national average for the subject area. However, our skills training has also allowed graduates to successfully enter other non-environmental careers, such as management, marketing or computing.
