A warm welcome to all prospective undergraduate students at the School of Chemistry. The following pages give comprehensive details of all our undergraduate degrees along with some more general information which we hope will be useful in helping you choose the right course.
We offer both 3-year BSc and 4-year MChem programmes. Most of our degree programmes are either Accredited or Recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). The BSc programmes give you a firm grounding in chemistry, which will allow you to take up employment in a chemical-related field or other areas – graduates in numerate subjects like chemistry are very much in demand.
The MChem degrees will provide a wider knowledge of chemistry and more research experience. This is the recommended programme if you wish to pursue a career in the chemical industry or intend to go on to postgraduate research.
Scholarships for 2012
The Faculty of Science is delighted to announce 33 £1000 scholarships for undergraduate students starting in September 2012, as part of the Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship Scheme.
