Mathematics : Research Degrees

The School of Mathematics has strong research groups in Applied Mathematics (fluid dynamics; mechanics of solids; geophysical fluid dynamics; scientific computing) and in Pure Mathematics (group theory; number theory; combinatorics; model theory; set theory and ergodic theory).

Research projects advertised are those that will be offered for entry in 2012. It is anticipated that successful applicants will start in October but some may be able to start before that date. Please contact individual supervisors for details.
