UEA's campus is a friendly environment with a real sense of community, where thousands of students from many different cultures and backgrounds live, study and enjoy themselves.
Built on 362 acres of parkland sloping down to the broad, an eighteen-acre expanse of water, the campus is one of the most innovative in the country, combining natural beauty with striking architecture.
Most basic needs can be catered for without leaving the campus: there is a newsagent, a post office, two bookshops, a travel agent, an insurance broker and a computer shop. There are also branches of three major banks and a launderette. There is also an occasional market, where you can buy all sorts of things.
Full meals are available at Zest, the Sports Park Cafe, the Sainsbury Centre buffet and the Sainsbury Centre restaurant. Sandwiches and snacks are available at the Sainsbury Centre Gallery Cafe, the Blend, the Hive, the Main Bar and Dolche Vita.
You may either pay as you go or buy packs of meal tickets at the start of term or, if you prefer to cook for yourself, there is a food shop on campus called the UFO (Union Food Outlet) and kitchens in the residences.
In addition to the services available on campus, there are many clubs and societies run by the students union which all students are welcome to take part in. These range from American Football to cocktails so there's something for everyone.
