Rules

1. There shall be an annual Scholarship to be known as the Dominic Christian Scholarship. The purpose of the Scholarship is to enable a student to study the MA degree course in Medieval History offered by the School of History.
2. Students ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom who are eligible to pay fees at the Home/EU rate are eligible for this award. The Scholarship shall contribute to the recipient's full course fees for a 12 month period.
3. The Scholarship is open to existing registered students of the University of East Anglia who fulfil the criterion in (2) above and who wish to continue their journey of academic study at the University.
4. The first Scholarship will be awarded in September 2011. One new Scholarship will be available each academic year with the last award in 2013/14. The Scholarship will become payable on completion of registration of the successful student.
5. Details of the Dominic Christian Scholarship will be publicised to all eligible students with appropriate information on selection criteria, application timescales and value of award.
6. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Associate Deans for Research, for Learning, Teaching and Quality and for Admissions in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
7. In the event that two or more candidates are deemed to be of equal merit, the Scholarship shall not be divided and the Selection Committee will decide upon the winner based upon interviews with each candidate.
8. If in any year, no candidate is judged to be of sufficient merit, the Scholarship shall not be awarded. No person will be awarded a Scholarship more than once.
