Nicholas Green Studentship

The annual Nicholas Green Studentship is awarded for postgraduate studies in Art History taking into account the merit, need and appropriateness of the area of study of the applicant to the academic interests of the late Dr Nicholas Green.

Rules

  1. The Nicholas Green Studentship shall normally be awarded annually for postgraduate study in Art History.
  2. The studentship shall be awarded by the Board of the School of Art History and World Art Studies on the recommendation of a Prize Committee constituted by the Board for that purpose. The Committee shall at their discretion take into account both merit, need and the appropriateness of the area of study to the academic interests of the late Dr Nicholas Green.
  3. The total value of the studentship shall be a sum not exceeding the income from the endowment donated in memory of Nicholas Green.
  4. The funds shall normally be applied to defraying the costs of all or part of fees and maintenance.
  5. The funds may when appropriate be applied to the purchase of books, travel expenses or other purposes which support postgraduate study.
  6. If in any year no candidate is judged to be of sufficient merit, the studentship shall not be awarded.
  7. The studentship may be awarded to the same candidate more than once.
