A very warm welcome to the PGR, Partnerships and Equality and Diversity Student Disclosure Service (PPE) for students and staff at the University of East Anglia. We hope that you find these web pages useful and informative.
The new Service commenced on 1 August 2011 and is located on Floor 2 of the Elizabeth Fry Building (EFB2.30). The office is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, except for Bank and Statutory Holidays and University closure days. It is led by the Director of University Services for PPE and for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ms Alison Rhodes, and her team whose three sections reflect the three key areas supported by the Service.
These areas are:
The Service works closely with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) who carries responsibility for PGR students and their programmes, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) who is responsible for the University’s partnerships and equality and diversity and with the four Faculty Associate Deans (PGR) and Academic Directors.
There is also close co-operation with the four Faculties: Arts and Humanities; Medicine and Health Sciences; Science; and Social Sciences and their constituent Schools and with the other Services: Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing (ARM); Learning and Teaching (LTS); and Research and Enterprise Services (REN).
These areas are:
- support of postgraduate research students and programmes in each of the four Faculties, including those based at the Norwich Research Park (NRP);
- support for equality and diversity for students and staff and also DBS processing for some prospective and existing students (mainly those undertaking professional courses involving patients, pupils and other client groups);
- support for the University’s collaborative arrangements with a range of partner institutions at local, regional, national and international levels.
