Scholars and students from the School of Political, Social and International Studies are involved in research centres in the School, work with colleagues in media@UEA and the world-leading ESRC Centre for Competition Policy, and collaborate with researchers internationally.

ESRC Centre for Competition Policy

The School is a partner to the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy(CCP), a world-class interdisciplinary research centre, created in 2004. Members of the School are involved in a range of research projects and activities.

Centre for Research in European Studies

The Centre for Research in European Studies was launched on the 19th February 1997. It is based in the School of Political, Social and International Studies at the University of East Anglia and is open to full-time and part-time faculty in various Schools in the University with research interests in the area of Contemporary European Affairs.

Scholars from PSI collaborate with other internationally renowned researchers from the schools of Film and Television Studies, Law, Economics, International Development, Languages and Communication Studies, and Literature and Creative Writing.

Science, Society and Sustainability (3S)

Members of the School are involved in the work of this new centre, which uses critical social science approaches to researching the social and political dimensions of environment and sustainability issues.

SeaMedia Centre

The Centre gives students opportunity for exchanges, visits and internships in Northern Europe, designed to build their practical media and journalism skills, as well as a practical outlet for their work.

Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research

Researchers in the School participate in this unique eight-institution partnership investigating climate change and national and international climate policy.
