Denis Smalley

Denis Smalley imageDenis Smalley is a key figure in electroacoustic music, having introduced both the term and the compositional technique to the UK, following his work at the GRM studio in Paris. He also introduced multi-loudspeaker sound diffusion as the main mode of performance practice, and contributed the defining notion of spectromorphology to the aesthetic discourse of his practice.

Gilles Gobeil and Suzanne Binet Audet

Works for ondes Martenot and fixed media from Gobeil's 2005 DVD "Trilogie d'ondes" will be performed by Suzanne Binet-Audet and Gilles Gobeil at UEA Music. This visit by distinguished Canadian musicians forms part of an eight date tour of the UK's main centres of electroacoustic music.

 UEA Music is part of the Music in Norwich group.
