Hannah Francis began her musical life at a very early age winning a scholarship to the Royal College of Music at the age of fifteen and the Royal Overseas Prize for the most promising young musician in the UK. She started out as a harpist but on discovering that she had a voice she decided to abandon the harp for a career in singing. She became successful very quickly, winning several coveted prizes and much to her delight, found herself being invited to join the English National Opera as a principle soprano. There she sung major roles in the operas of Mozart, Handel, Puccini and Wagner amongst others. She has sung with the major orchestras and for most of the major festivals in this country and is a frequent recitalist in the concert halls of London, Europe and the USA. She will be recording several albums of song later this year.
