The research spans from fundamental mechanistic studies (based in our Biomedical Research Centre) to intervention and community based studies (using our Clinical Research and Trials Unit).
Key areas of research interest include:
- Obesity and chronic conditions responsive to diet
- Metabolic studies in healthy volunteers and patients
- Dietary interventions and human trials
- Molecular mechanisms and nutritional genomics
- Bioavailability of micronutrients and phytochemicals
- Biomarkers of disease risk
- Meta-analysis in nutrition
- Nutritional epidemiology
