Monthly Seminar Series - Multiple endpoints in clinical trials
Epidemiology, Clinical Trials and Medical Statistics Monthly Seminar Series
Date and time: Wednesday 29 March 2017, 1300-1400
Venue: MED 1.02
Title: Multiple endpoints in clinical trials
Speaker: Professor Lee Shepstone
Lee Shepstone is a Professor of Medical Statistics at Norwich Medical School. Prof. Shepstone's general research interests are in the field of clinical trials and trials methods.
The requirement to specify a single, primary endpoint (or outcome) is ubiquitous in the design of clinical trials and is a near dogmatic expectation of funding and governance bodies. However, it does not necessarily need to be the case. This talk will explore the rationale for the primary endpoint concept and some alternatives.
All are welcome to attend this talk.
