Interested in gross anatomy variation.
Educational interests in Curriculum design, Peer and Self assessment, research project assessment and more general issues concerning assessment
Key interest over my career has been guiding students to a greater appreciation of the structure and function through the examination of human structure. Human anatomy is an old discipline perceived to be difficult as it introduces the student to medical terminology that underpins clinical practice. Anatomy can be learnt by rote but understanding relies on the student developing a three dimensional image of the human body as visualised clinically with hands on examination and modern invasive clinical procedures.
