The Long Dissertation provides the student with an opportunity to study a chosen topic. It will build on previous learning and will reflect a knowledge base which has both breadth and depth, and which is integrated and applied to professional practice.  The Short Dissertation will therefore have an ‘applied theory’ focus.  Based on a systematic critical review of the relevant literature, it will demonstrate skills of skills of reflection, synthesis, and problem-solving.

Is this course for me?

The dissertation will normally form the final part of the relevant degree programme.  However, where appropriate it may be permissible for students to commence the dissertation when not more than one of the taught modules of the programme is still outstanding.
