Health Economics Group

The Health Economics Group at the University of East Anglia

Norwich Medical School
Health Economics is a branch of economics concerned with making the best use of scarce resources for Health and Health Care.

The UEA Health Economics Group (HEG) was established in 1997. Our aim is to inform decisions about the use of health care resources at local, national and international level. To fulfil this aim we develop and use high quality methods in applied health economics research. A second aim is to build health economics capacity and promote a wider appreciation of health economics.

We use our research to drive an active teaching and training programme. Our teaching activity includes undergraduate lectures and seminars, the teaching and supervision of MSc and PhD students, as well as seminars and short courses for continuing professional development.

HEG is a part of the Department of Population Health and Primary Care within Norwich Medical School.
