Biography

Malcolm is the Co-Director of the Clinical Psychology Doctorate programme, He is also the line manager of the trainees clinical psychologists within Cambridge and Peterborough Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. He manages the Senior Lecturers on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate programme and is also the Director of Learning and Teaching for the Norwich Medical School.

Career

Malcolm qualified as a clinical psychologist in Newcastle in 1974.  He has worked in Durham, Glasgow and Cambridge in learning disabilities services and on clinical psychology training courses.  He moved to UEA in 1994 to develop the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology.  He now works for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and contributes to their occupational health service.

Key Research Interests

Research interests include bipolar affective disorder, quality of life, psychosocial aspects of chronic illness, measurement and methodological issues in clinical psychology, especially single case methods and health services research.
