The University of East Anglia has been voted top English university, and the best in the UK for its accommodation and Student Union, in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2011.UEA is 8th in the Guardian's People & Planet Green League 2011, which ranks universities according to their policies and commitment to environmental management.
UEA has gone up to third in the Times Higher Education student experience survey. This is up from fifth last year. UEA has overtaken both Oxford (was third, now sixth) and Cambridge (was second now fourth).

The University of East Anglia is joint third mainstream English university for overall student satisfaction in the 2010 National Student Satisfaction Survey. The University’s students have placed it in the top five for overall student satisfaction every year since the survey began, six years ago. The School of Allied Health Professions was joint top in the country for overall satisfaction for its Occupational Therapy course and joint first for satisfaction with teaching in Physiotherapy (98%) and Speech and Language Therapy (97%).
Drama and Psychology at the University both came out top in the country for satisfaction with teaching, with scores of 99% and 96%.

The University of East Anglia is ranked joint third mainstream English university for satisfaction in the 2009 National Student Survey. This means that the University has been in the top five for student satisfaction every year since the National Student Survey began. The University's overall satisfaction score of 90% is bettered only by Cambridge and Leicester among large English institutions in the survey, which also includes smaller colleges and specialist institutions.
The School of Pharmacy received a ringing endorsement from its students. Its 100% satisfaction ratings in the 2009 National Student Survey place it top in the UK, a remarkable achievement for the University's newest school of study.

The results of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise have confirmed the University if East Anglia as one of the leading research institutions in the UK.
The University of East Anglia wins the Times Higher Education 2008 Award for Project of the Year for Professor Tim Lenton's groundbreaking work on climate change tipping points.
Student satisfaction figures for 2008 published by the Higher Education Funding Council for England show that the University of East Anglia is bettered only by Cambridge and on a par with Oxford, among mainstream English universities. For the fourth year in succession – ever since the National Student Survey began – students have given their UEA courses a ringing endorsement, but this year’s 92% overall satisfaction figure is the University’s best ever result.
Happier students than those at UEA are hard to find. The first four national student surveys have seen them record some of the highest satisfaction scores in the UK. While success in the survey is often hard to pin down, in UEA’s case it must be due in great part to the sheer quality of the teaching and the distinctiveness of the surroundings.
