Digital Marketing

The Digital Marketing Team is located within the Marketing and Communications division. The team is responsible for the University’s external-facing web pages and management of the University’s digital presence.

The Digital Marketing Team offers advice and guidance on the following:
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • accessibility and usability
  • content planning and information architecture
  • writing for the web
  • use of imagery
  • Google Analytics
  • online advertising e.g. Google Adwords, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • use of social networking sites e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube.
  • viral marketing e.g. video and seeding strategies


Website responsibilities

There is a large amount of information on the University’s website and the majority of the information is written by staff in school and departments. The Digital Marketing Team are responsible for various areas of the site, for example Why Choose UEA and Study With Us, however most content is written by the relevant area and input using the content management system.

Other areas with responsibility for the website

  • ITCS – responsible for programming and technical development of Polopoly and other web services
  • Communications – responsibility for news articles 
  • The Web Steering Group – meet every 6 weeks to discuss the strategy of the University’s digital prescence.
