Philanthropic support has always played a central role in the development of UEA, and over the years has supported a number of projects including buildings, equipment and scholarships. Income generation is an important aspect of the University’s financial security and the Development and Campaigns team exists for this very purpose.

The University was founded with the support of a fundraising campaign which in today's money raised almost £40 million. In recent years, a significant stream of income has been generated through fundraising activities, all of which have helped to enhance the student experience.
