Anthologies showcase new writing talent

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

A host of new writing talent is showcased in the latest anthologies of work produced by students on the University of East Anglia's renowned Masters course in creative writing.

This year three anthologies have been produced, focusing on creative writing (prose and life-writing), poetry and, for the first time, scriptwriting.

“The University of East Anglia is a supportive community, a creative muse and a fertile ground – under clear East Anglian skies – to grow the best crop of new writers each year. Sample and enjoy this season's produce,” said Jeremy Page, author of Salt and The Wake, and a graduate of the MA.

The anthologies are put together and edited by students with help and guidance from staff at UEA and Egg Box Publishing, a Norwich-based independent publishing house, set up by former UEA students Nathan Hamilton and Alexander Gordon Smith, that specialises in new writing.
