About LTG
The Learning Technology Group is a joint initiative between the Information Services Directorate (ISD) and the Centre for Staff and Educational Development (CSED) at UEA. We offer advice and support on the effective use of technology in learning and teaching. Our activities are guided by the Learning Technology Group Advisory Committee.
We aim to:
- Help teaching staff explore how technology can be useful for them, through
a range of department-based and central activities.
- Raise awareness of trends in learning technology at the University and
elsewhere. Help staff use technology effectively in their teaching by
offering support, advice and by facilitating good practice.
- Provide tools and services for developing electronic learning materials
to meet a wide range of requirements across the University.
- Provoke thought and discussion and showcase different approaches to
teaching with technology.
- Offer advice on best practice in areas such as course and materials design,
accessibility issues and selecting technical standards.
- Provide help with strategic planning, evaluating projects and sharing experience (including preparing papers for conferences or publication).
For advice or general enquiries in the first instance contact Jane Baker on 3483 or jane.baker@uea.ac.uk or drop into the Learning and Resources Centre (LaRC).
