RICHARD FLANAGAN - Wednesday 1 November

Richard Flanagan was born in 1961, in Tasmania, a descendant of Irish convicts transported there during the Great Famine. His first novel, Death of a River Guide, was published in 1994. His other novels include Gould’s Book of Fish, The Unknown Terrorist, Wanting and The Narrow Road to the Deep North. His most recent book is First Person. He is the winner of multiple awards including the Man Booker Prize for Fiction.
