JACKIE KAY is one of our finest and most versatile writers. She is a poet, novelist, memoirist and writer of short stories and has enjoyed great acclaim for her work for both adults and children.  Her poetry includes Fiere, shortlisted for the Costa Poetry Award. Her novel Trumpet won the Guardian Fiction Prize and her recent memoir Red Dust Road was the Scottish Book of the Year. Her new collection of short stories is Reality, Reality.

Jackie Kay is Professor of Creative Writing at Newcastle University.
