Sponsored by the Onoto Pen Company, the purpose of this scholarship is to enable a student to study on either the Prose Fiction or Poetry strands of the MA in Creative Writing.

It is open to all students undertaking these strands of the MA whose writing demonstrates a commitment to environmental themes, in particular a commitment to furthering general understanding of the impact of climate change.

The recipient is chosen by a panel of tutors on the Creative Writing MA, based on the material submitted in the student's application, and the award is worth £5,000, equivalent to Home/EU academic fees, plus an Onoto pen worth £300.

The first scholarship will be awarded in September 2013.
