Trezza Azzopardi published a novel, The Song House (London: Picador, 2010). 

The German edition of Giles Foden's novel Turbulence, translated as Die Geometrie der Wolken (The Geometry of Clouds), was published by Aufbau Verlag in March, followed by UK mass-market paperback publication in June (Faber and Faber).

George Szirtes published New Order: Hungarian Poets of the Post 1989 Generation (editor, translator, introduction) (Todmorden: Arc, 2010); and Fortinbras at the Fishhouses: Responsibility, the Iron Curtain and the Sense of History as Knowledge, Newcastle / Bloodaxe Poetry Lectures (Tarset: Bloodaxe / Newcastle University, 2010). George contributed to Saudade: An Anthology of Fado Poetry, ed. Mimi Khalvati (London: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, 2010); and Sixty Poems for Haiti, ed. Ian Diffenthaller and Maggie Harris (Royston: Cane Arrow Press, 2010). George's radio play, The Numbers Game, was broadcast in May. 

Andrew Cowan's book on writing - The Art of Writing Fiction - was recently published by Pearson Longman. An expanded version of his keynote paper at the Australian Association of Writing Programs annual conference, held in 2010 at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, was recently published as ‘Blind Spots: What Creative Writing Doesn't Know' in TEXT: Journal of Writing and Writing Courses, vol. 15, no.1 (April 2011):www.textjournal.com.au. Andrew received a £600 overseas conference grant from the British Academy to give a paper at ‘Writing Across Cultures', a conference held at the City University of Hong Kong. Andrew secured a grant of £35,217 from the AHRC Knowledge Catalyst Scheme, in collaboration with the Writers' Centre Norwich, for ‘New Writing Net: the development of a virtual creative and critical community'. 

B.J. Epstein's essay, ‘Teaching Out', appeared in Queer Girls in Class, ed. Lori Horvitz (New York: Peter Lang, 2010), pp. 119-124. 

Rachel Hore published a novel, A Place of Secrets (London: Simon & Schuster, 2010). 

The French and Italian translations of Rebecca Stott's Ghostwalk appeared this year as (respectively) Le Manuscrit de Cambridge and Il Codice di Newton. Rebecca's The Coral Thief was published in paperback in the UK and US, and also appeared in Italian translation as La Ladra di Coralli.
