Getting started at UEA

Getting started on your course at UEA can be a daunting time. You might be in a new city or a new country and studying at University can be very different from what you have experienced before but there are lots of ways UEA can support you to get the most out of your University experience.

On the left you will find links to information which students new to UEA ask often about in their first few weeks. If you have not started at UEA yet our New Students pages have even more info. The University handbook is a great starting point for information on how your course will be structured and where you can go for help, your student record contains information about your course and timetable or to speak to someone in person, you can go to your Hub 


Checklist for new students - Have you....?
1. Completed your registration
2. Got your campus card and UEA email address
3. Read the student regulations
4. Read your student handbook
5. Made yourself familiar with e:Vision
6. Found out who your personal Adviser is
7. Found out which is your Hub and where it is
8. Notified the Dean of Students about any religious reasons which may affect your University work e.g exams
9. Found out where to go for non-academic support (e.g. wellbeing, personal or financial worries)
10. If living off campus, printed your Council Tax Exemption form from e:Vision
