At UEA we have robust processes to ensure we treat students fairly and equitably. There are occasions though, when appeals are the best way to take something forward. These pages provide links to important information on the appeals and complaints procedure and provide the relevant forms. Students are encouraged to try to resolve the matter they are concerned about informally before beginning the formal procedure.
Advice can be sought from your Adviser, Dean of Students Office or the Students Union Advice Centre. The Union Advice centre also provides leaflets to help you understand the process of making an appeal or complaint. Click here for further information.
Please note that the Appeals and Complaints process has undergone a recent revue hence there are different procedures to follow depending on at what time your appeal or complaint arose.
Pre September 2012
For appeals / complaints arising in the academic year 2011-12 (e.g. relating to events which occurred before September 2012 / Modules where the start date of study was before September 2012 / Marks received before September 2012) please refer to the information on the Appeals / Complaints pre September 2012 pages.
Post September 2012
For appeals / complaints arising in the academic year 2012-13 onwards (e.g. relating to Modules where the start date of study was from September 2012 onwards) please refer to the information on the Appeals / Complaints post September 2012 pages.
