Course and Modules

These pages are designed to support Academics and Administrative staff at UEA in the administrative tasks which support the delivery of courses and modules.

Course/Module Administration
The Attendance Monitoring pages describe how Academics can record the attendance of students at teaching events.  Information for students on how attendance is monitored and how to report an absence is available on the student Attendance and Absence pages.
The Guide for Academics on Student Module Enrolment pages are designed to help Academics to advise students and advisees on Module choice for each academic year.

Quality Review
Quality Review is integral to ensuring the learning we provide at UEA is of the highest standard. The process for each is informed by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. For more information see document Code of practice for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education Section 7: Programme design, approval, monitoring and review
The current approach to Quality Review ensures the following:
•    Module Monitoring - takes places a minimum of once every 5 years, unless identified for earlier review by the presence of an agreed trigger
•    Student evaluation - takes places whenever a module is identified for review, or earlier
•    Annual Course Update - takes place annually
•    Course Review – takes place at least every 5 years
The current approach to Quality Review is under revision and an updated process is to follow.

Current courses and Course/Module Proposals
Programme Specification documents are updated annually and describe the intended learning outcomes of the course and the means by which these outcomes will be achieved and demonstrated.
New Courses and Modules are constantly being proposed at UEA to keep our provision cutting edge.
