Biography

Nana Sato-Rossberg obtained her PhD in Translation Studies from Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences at Ritsumeikan University Kyoto in 2007. She then taught Japanese Studies at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University College London and as a researcher at the University of East Anglia. In 2011, she has joined the School of Language and Communication Studies and the Centre for Japanese Studies.

Key Research Interests

Research interests cover intergeneric translations (Japanese manga to film), translations of oral narratives, intercultural translations, and the relationship between translation and power.
