Head of School's welcome

We believe our School is unique. A vibrant community of expert academics, ambitious students with strong and meaningful links to the wider community and our highly successful alumni, a law degree from UEA is not just a law degree. It's more than that. It's a UEA law degree.

You can rest assured that the quality of teaching at our School is exemplary with our award-winning team satisfying 96 per cent of our students in the 2012 Student Survey. Our research is internationally excellent and continues to push the frontiers of knowledge. The School is also a socially responsible community with over 50 per cent of our students undertaking pro bono work. Our School is an inclusive community in every sense of the word.

As committed as we are to engaging with the wider public we are of course equally devoted to assisting our students into legal and non-legal professions, with highly-valued internships, mentor programmes and extra-curricular activities supplementing our four excellent undergraduate courses that cover the legal systems of the UK and France, as well as the rest of Europe and the US.

The curriculum has employability written into it and places a heavy emphasis on both law in practice and useful transferable skills, both of which greatly enhance our graduates' prospects even further into legal and non-legal professions.

The summer of 2013 will be an exciting one and will mark our return ‘home' to the beautiful surroundings of Earlham Hall… a place of study as inspirational and unique as our School. We hope to see you there…
