Scholarships for Master's Programmes
The Law School is offering the following scholarships which will be awarded to candidates who apply for the following LLM programmes:
- LLM Employment Law
- LLM Information, Technology and Intellectual Property Law
- LLM International Commercial and Business Law
- LLM International Commercial and Competition Law
- LLM International Trade Law
- LLM Master of Laws
- LLM Media Law, Policy and Practice
10% Early Application Scholarship
To encourage early applications, we are offering an automatic 10% tuition fee bursary to all International offer-holders who have paid their deposits by 31 March 2013 and to all Home/EU offer-holders who have accepted their offer of a place on the LLM programme by 31 March 2013.
Eligibility: ALL offer-holders
Deadline: Deposits and acceptances must be received by 31 March 2013 to qualify for this bursary.
LLM Academic Excellence Scholarships
Scholarships equivalent to one third of academic tuition fees will be available to up to five well-qualified applicants on the basis of academic excellence.
Eligibility: ALL offer-holders
Method of Application: All eligible candidates to whom the School have made an offer by 1 April 2013 will automatically be considered for nomination and invited to apply for the Scholarship.
Deadline: To be considered for these scholarships, applications should be received by 1 May 2013. Decisions will be notified on or around 15 May 2013.
LLM Academic Achievement Scholarships
Scholarships equivalent to 10% of academic tuition fees are available to well-qualified applicants who have successfully applied to enrol on one of the LLMs between 1 April and 15 June OR who were unsuccessful in their application for an Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Eligibility: ALL offer-holders
Method of Application: All eligible candidates to whom the School have made an offer will automatically be considered for nomination and invited to apply for the Scholarship.
Deadline: To be considered for these scholarships, applications should be received by 1 July 2013. Decisions will be notified on or around 15 July 2013.
Scholarships for Current UEA Students
- All UEA LLB students (including Erasmus Law undergraduate students returning to UEA to complete a Law Masters) accepted onto an LLM course will be automatically assigned a scholarship worth 20% of LLM tuition fees.
- All non-law UEA students accepted onto an LLM course will be automatically assigned a bursary worth 10% of LLM tuition fees.
- LLM Employment Law: Students who enrol on the LLM Employment Law after completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Employment Law are eligible to receive a bursary worth 30% of the LLM tuition fees.
Eligibility: ALL current or recently graduated UEA Students
Method of Application: All eligible candidates to whom the School have made an offer are automatically assigned the scholarship.
Deadline: To qualify for these scholarships, applications must be received by 1 July 2013.
Yeditepe University (Turkey) full-fee Scholarship
In recognition of the close relationship between the Law School and Yeditepe University, the School will consider offering one full scholarship to the best performing applicant recommended by the Dean of Yeditepe Law School.
Eligibility: Law Students who are currently studying at or have recently graduated from Yeditepe University Law School.
Method of Application: To be considered for this scholarship, LLM applicants should approach the Dean of Yeditepe with their request for consideration.
Deadline: Applications supported by the Dean's recommendation must be received by 1 July 2013.
Thammasat University (Thailand) Scholarships
In recognition of the close relationship between the Law School and Thammasat University, the School will automatically grant LLM scholarships worth 10% of LLM tuition fees to all successful applicants who have graduated from Thammasat University Law School.
In addition, the School will consider offering one full scholarship to a student recommended by the Dean of Thammasat Law School.
Eligibility for full Scholarship: Students who are currently studying at or have recently graduated from Thammasat University Law School.
Method of Application: To be considered for this scholarship, LLM applicants should approach the Dean of Thammasat Law School with their request for consideration.
Deadline: Applications supported by the Dean's recommendation must be received by 1 July 2013.
FFA Scholarships
Students from Trier University Law School or Munster University Law School in Germany holding the recognised "FFA" qualification will automatically qualify for a bursary worth 20% of LLM fees and be granted 40 credits as accredited prior learning.
