Biography

Biography

Eloise Ellis joined UEA, as a lecturer in law in 2011, having previously taught Public Law at King’s College London and Queen Mary, University of London.  She has also lectured in Human Rights, EU Law and Common Law Reasoning & Legal Systems.

Eloise graduated from King’s College London in 2000 with LLB (Hons) (First Class).  This was followed by several years spent working as a political adviser and policy/campaigns manager for a range of organisations from the Country Landowner’s Association (CLA) to the London Chamber of Commerce and the British Retail Consortium.  Eloise then spent a couple of years at a Government Department, where her roles included working for a Minister, following which she returned to academia.

Eloise has also been involved in local politics and with various charitable organisations.

Research Interests

Eloise’s research interests lie in the area of public and administrative law. Her doctoral research focuses on parliamentary select committees.

She is also particularly interested in the constitutional structure of government and constitutional reform.
