Professor Sir Roy Goode, the world's foremost scholar of transnational commercial law and an honorary graduate of the University, visited the Law School on Tuesday 16th February to give a lecture to students and to present the Sir Roy and Lady Catherine Goode Prizes to two current students (Holly Hancock and Teresa Wilcocks) and two former students, Jacqui Longman (now a lecturer in international commercial law in the Law School) and Benjamin Pass (awarded in absentia). Holly and Teresa were awarded their prizes for their excellent contribution to the Law School and wider community, while Jacqui and Benjamin received prizes for being respectively top student in postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes.

During his visit to the School, Sir Roy gave a lecture on harmonisation of international commercial law and answered questions from undergraduate and postgraduate students who are studying this subject as part of their degrees.
