We received over 5000 comments in the ISD User Survey last December and wanted to let you know what we are doing to address some of the issues you raised.
You said: " Why does it take so long to fix broken PCs? |
| Overnight security staff now check all the PCs in the Library and notify an IT technician each morning of any faulty equipment so that it can be fixed with the minimum of delay. |
You said: "It is difficult to find a space to study in the Library" |
| We have moved some shelving on Floor 01 to create over 50 new study spaces. We will also be buying extra chairs which will be available on all floors to help meet demand during the busy summer examination period. |
You said: "We need more computers" |
| We have installed an extra 48 PCs in the Library on floors 01, 2 and 3. We now have almost 300 PCs available in the Library as well as WiFi throughout the building. |
You said: "Why is it so difficult to access some electronic resources?" |
| We are rolling out a new login page that should make it easier to access many internal and external resources. More information |
You said: "Please investigate ways of regulating use of social media" |
| We are piloting a facebook-free area in the Library. Please let us what you think via library.feedback@uea.ac.uk |
