Campus Telephony

The telephony infrastructure, based around a pair of Siemens ISDXL exchanges in the Estates Building for the Norwich site, provides over 3000 standard analogue lines to the majority of the Norwich campus as well as a number of VoIP extensions to remote sites. This is now being replaced by VoIP handsets linked to a Siemens HiPath8000 (OpenScape) exchange - the migration started in 2009. The OpenScape solution is already in operation for UEA London users.

The following information is available on-line:

Please note that the team are only able to help in areas of providing a telephony service - charging is undertaken by our parent organisation, ISD.

In addition to this service we also provide a free voicemail system to both Norwich and London users, that can answer your extension and either retain or forward your messages via Email.
