Basic information:

The Postgraduate study room is a designated quiet study area for taught postgraduates.  It is located on floor 01 of the Main Library.

There are 46 desks and lockers in total, available on a monthly basis.

Desks and locker keys are available from the Library Helpdesk.

Each desk has a power point and wireless is available throughout the Library building.

A waiting list system applies with keys due for return on or before the last day of the month of loan.

General terms & conditions of use:

• Applicants may book one month in advance (from the 15th if a key is already held). Bookings must be made in person and campus card must be shown
• Requests for specific desks and lockers will not be granted.
• Applicants awarded keys are responsible for their return on or before the last day of each month, and will be charged fines and replacement / handling fees at rates set by the librarian in the event of their late return or loss. Replacement / handling fees for keys will be invoiced to the last registered user of a key
• Failure to return keys on or before the last day of the month on three separate occasions within the same academic year (1st August – 31st July), will result in a one month ban of the use of the post graduate study room
• Persistent failure to return keys or a failure to comply with terms and conditions will result in permanent exclusion from the use of the post grad study room
• A £10 fine limit per period applies, however if fines reach this amount access to this service may be withdrawn
• Any belongings left in a locker at the end of the month may be removed at the discretion of library staff
• Periodicals, reference books, and other unissued library material must not be stored in lockers. 
• Research post graduates may be issued with a key from the 6th day of each month if any remain unissued.
